Jimmy's Story
When we first met Jimmy, he was just eight years old.

Like most children, he loved school, basketball, and playing on the playground. But when the school day ended, Jimmy returned to a tent beneath a bridge, where he and his mother were living after escaping an abusive relationship.
​
Every day was filled with uncertainty.
​
Then people chose to show up. Along with food and practical assistance, Jimmy and his mother found people who walked beside them, helped them move into safe housing, connected them with resources, and reminded them they weren't alone.

Today, Jimmy's story reminds us that restoration often begins when someone simply chooses to care.
