What Our Volunteers Say...
I joined NBI as a volunteer this spring after finding them on a Google search. After meeting with Lori and Tabithia that first Sunday Funday, I quickly realized that a lot of NBI’s views aligned with my own. I’ve always noticed that the most successful ministries are Jesus-centered but also pinpoint specific in what they are doing focusing all their energy and resources. I was introduced to Michelle and began doing Homeless Outreach with her. Working with the modern-day “lepers” has been an eye-opening and rewarding experience. A year ago I’d have never thought I’d have a friend named “Caveman”! Working with Michelle can be exhausting, she’s got so much energy, but I always feel even more connected to God when we’re done. I also love playing football with the kids or dominos with our older friends from the neighborhood at Sunday Funday as well as the great discussions at Tuesday Bible Study.
Being a volunteer with No Boundaries has been a life-changing experience for me. My intention was to be a blessing to those in need and yet what really happened was Jesus helped me in my time of need. This is truly a community committed to being not just hearers of the Word but effectual doers of the Word, doing it all for the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Volunteering at No Boundaries International has been life-changing in so many positive ways. One of the greatest gifts that I have received from NBI is that I have learned to love others as Jesus loved us. I have learned to notice and care for everyone and anyone no matter what their walk in life is. We all have a purpose.
